Productinformation
Celeriac variety Monarch (Apium graveolens)
In The Netherlands, celeriac is mostly famous for its use in pea soup (erwtensoep or snert). But if you are not Dutch or not a big fan of soup we can recommend frying them in the air fryer! Remove the skin, cut into small squares, add some oil, and air fry them at 200℃ for around 10 minutes or less.
It’s not the easiest vegetable to grow from seed but if you follow the instructions it should not be too difficult. You get the best germination rate if you can keep the temperature around 15-18℃. Germination takes up to 21 days. do not cover the seeds because they need light to germinate. You can use a propagator to keep the soil moist. Grow on in a cooler place until transplanting in May or June. This variety was Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit. Celeriac stores very well and can be eaten during winter until spring.
