How to grow Chinese aster king-size white from seed
Growing annual asters from seed is not difficult. Preferably start seeds in late winter till early spring in seeds trays in a greenhouse or windowsill. You can direct sow in April them but we have never done this. Covering the seeds is not needed. Seedlings emerge quickly but plants grow rather slowly. Plant out from the end of April after you have hardened off the plants. Staking is needed to support the large flowers. Rotate their location in the garden to prevent Fusarium Wilt. The plants will produce flowers until the beginning of autumn.
