Coriander or cilantro seeds (Coriandrum sativum)
Coriander, also known as cilantro, is a versatile herb that adds a unique and fresh flavor to a variety of dishes. Growing coriander in your vegetable garden can be a great addition to your home-grown produce, as it is easy to care for and does not require much space. Sow seeds multiple times a year for a year-round fresh harvest!
Sowing and harvesting
- Start in late winter for a spring harvest
- Start in late summer for a winter harvest
- Start seeds every 6 weeks during the summer months
- Regularly pick the outer leaves
- 3 or 4 plants will supply you with a weekly fresh harvest
Growing advice
- Summer sowings want to flower relatively soon after plants are ready to harvest;
- Sow multiple times for a continued harvest in summer.
- Suitable for winter harvest if grown under cover (Cover with fleece or grow in a greenhouse)
