Statice or limonium sinuatum soft blue

Improved variety of Limonium in stunning deep but soft blue color. We love this flower because it is a reliable cut flower but the sturdy stems with clouds of soft pale blue flowers also look fantastic in the garden. Stems are also super easy to dry and retain their color as the best. In bouquets stems provide strength and support. Limonium is easy to grow and requires little care.

How to grow limonium blue from seed

Start seeds around 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost in seed trays or small pots. We found plants can grow rather fast in the greenhouse so we pot them onto bigger cells first before planting them out in the garden. Seeds germinate within one to two weeks depending on the temperature. You can plant them out after around the expected frost date. Limonium is easy to grow, does not need much water, and has few requirements when it comes to soil. If you remove head flowers the plants will grow new stems.
Flowers easily last 10 days in the vase. To dry the flowers hang them upside down in a dark dry and warm place for about 4 weeks.
