Tulip Chato
Chato is an amazing double, full tulip in fresh pink. This tulip looks like a dark pink peony, blooming on a green stem with a height of about 50 centimeters. Compared to other tulip varieties Chato will bloom in the middle of the season. Chato is great for either display in the garden or to pick as a cut flower.

The tulips we offer are very disease-resistant and grown without chemicals by a Dutch family with a love for nature. We decided to offer these clean tulips to help support their transition to a less harmful tulip industry.

How to plant tulips:
Plant tulip bulbs in well-draining soil. If your garden is too wet the bulbs can start to rot in winter. make sure your garden or field is not flooded for multiple days after heavy rain.
The moment your tulips will bloom is very dependant on spring weather. Tulip Chato on average blooms in the middle of spring in The Netherlands. If spring is very cold the tulips will wait for better weather (just like us!) before they show their beautiful blooms.
If you want to use your tulips as cut flowers, make sure you plant your bulb deep. This way you extend the stem length. Keep in mind the stems extend the first few days in the vase.
Tulips need an extended period of cold weather before they start blooming.
