Yellow beef tomato – Brandywine Yellow (Solanum Lycopersicum)
Brandywine yellow is an heirloom tomato that gives yellow to apricot-colored beef tomatoes. The fruits can become 800 – 900 grams! The flavor is relatively sweet for a yellow variety.
Sowing and harvesting
- Start in spring indoors with bottom heat.
- Seeds germinate optimally around 25°C in 7-14 days
- Grow on without bottom heat and bright light in 15 cell trays or P9 pots
Advice and tips
- Tomatoes grow best in free-draining and fertile soil;
- Grow in a polytunnel or greenhouse in colder climates for the best results
- Space 50 cm apart
