How to Grow Feverfew

Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is a plant with small, daisy-like flowers that are easy to grow. To start growing feverfew, sow seeds in a seed tray or module tray from late winter to early spring. Use good quality seed compost and sow the seeds on the surface without covering them, as they need light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 15-20°C for optimal germination, which should occur in 14-21 days. Keep the compost moist but not waterlogged.

Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Choose a sunny or partially shaded location with well-drained soil, and space the plants about 20-30cm (8-12 inches) apart.

Feverfew is generally pest and disease resistant but watch for aphids.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy the aromatic and pollinator-attracting qualities of feverfew in your garden.
