Alpha is an Italian cauliflower that produces small white and dense heads. It matures in 70 days. This all-around variety can be sown in late winter to early spring, or in summer.

Sowing and harvesting

• Start in Feb-Mar for summer harvest;
• Start in June for a late autumn harvest;
• Seeds need heat to germinate, start early sowings indoors

Advice and tips

• Protect the white heads from direct sun by covering heads with cauliflower leaves;
• Protect with mesh against pests and birds;
• Space 40 – 50 cm apart
