Beetroot – Detroit 2
This variety of beetroot can be sown from mid-April to mid-July in the open ground in rows. The beets sown a little later can be stored for a very long time. Raymond likes to multi sow our beetroot, with three to four seeds per cell in a 40 cell module tray. He then plants them out about a month later. We like to cook them in the oven with fresh herbs and a little honey.
