Productinformation
Cauliflower Walcheren Winter 5 seeds (Brassica oleracea convar. botrytis var. botrytis)
Growing cauliflower is not easy but perhaps a winter variety is easier for you to grow. Protect seedlings during the last weeks of summer from insects like butterflies. During winter months cauliflower requires very little can and colder temperatures and the natural rhythm of increasing light and temperature might benefit the formation of heads. Do keep in mind that pigeons might start eating the leaves of your plants during winter. We noticed that late autumn and winter varieties are easier to grow (or we just had more luck with them…) The green romanesco cauliflower is also an autumn variety you could try.
