Chinese forget me not Mystery Rose seeds (Cynoglossum amabile)
If you love the small forget-me-nots you have to sow this taller type of forget me not from China. It traditionally grows in mountainous regions and meadows. The plant is popular for its delicate pink flowers, which bloom in clusters and attract bees and other pollinators. Cynoglossum amabile is an annual plant that typically grows to a height of 60 to 80 cm and has long, narrow leaves. It is easy to grow and requires little maintenance. The tall stems are great for flower arrangements.

You can start seeds in spring indoors or direct sow/plant out after the frost has passed. Seeds germinate within a week if the soil is kept around 15-20℃. We had beautiful flowers in late summer from a sowing in May. If you start a few plants in March and a few in May you will have flowers all summer long. the tiny pink flowers are great to add to a dahlia or another large flower bouquet. Pick the Chinese forget me not when the first flowers on the stems are open. Condition in a bucket of water for a few hours after harvesting to prevent wilting.
