Cosmos bipinnatus Apricot Lemonade
The most amazing colored flowers we have ever grown. Definitely a must-try variety cosmos. This beautiful variety got a novelty award in 2018 and is a very early flowering cosmos.
The bushy growth makes the apricot lemonade a great garden plant that can also be cut for smaller vases.
with a height of 50 to 70 centimeters, this cosmos is a more compact plant compared to others. The pink apricot single flowers are around 8 centimeters in diameter. The plant will continually produce flowers until the frost. Therefore cosmos is grown as an annual flowering plant. Luckily cosmos is half-hardy and easy to grow from seed again in spring.

How to grow cosmos apricot lemonade from seed
Sow cosmos indoors in a windowsill or in the greenhouse in early spring, 3 to 4 weeks before transplanting outside. The seed can also be sown directly in mid to late spring. During germination, keep the soil moderately moist. Use good compost or fine sowing soil and cover to a depth of 3mm. Plants grow quickly so it is best to sow them in the 40 cell tray or larger. Plant them out after the frost has passed. Cosmos plants grow quite large, give them space and keep around 40 centimeters of planting distance. We keep about 2 plants on a 75-centimeter wide bed.
All cosmos varieties are very easy to grow, mostly disease-free, and tolerant of poor soil, heat, and humidity. They are an excellent plant for lazy or busy gardeners. this is a plant that will thrive on minimal care and also looks great when picked for the vase.
