Cosmos bipinnatus Cupcakes Blush flower seeds
The cupcakes blush cosmos flowers to me and look like a cup of tea dancing in the garden. This very romantic flower will grow the size of your hand and will look fantastic in a wedding bouquet or cottage garden. The shape of the flowers is exactly like the paper cups around a cupcake! I didn’t realize this until I took some flowers home Instead of multiple petals, this cosmea has one large round petal. The stems are very tall making this cosmos cupcake a very desirable cut flower! I think in terms of shape and size this is by far the best cosmea we grow this year.

How do I grow cosmea cupcake from seed?
Sow cosmos indoors in a windowsill or in the greenhouse in early spring, 3 to 4 weeks before transplanting outside. The seed can also be sown directly in mid to late spring. During germination, keep the soil moderately moist. Use good compost or fine sowing soil and cover to a depth of 3mm. Plants grow quickly so it is best to sow them in the 40 cell tray or larger. Plant them out after the frost has passed. Cosmos plants grow quite large, give them space and keep at least 40 centimeters of planting distance. We keep about 2 plants on a 75-centimeter wide bed.
