How to grow cosmos from seed?
Growing cosmos from seed is very easy. You can direct sow seeds once the soil has warmed up, but plants will flower relatively late in summer. To save space, and to get flowers earlier in the season we sow seeds in seed trays. You can start sowing seeds 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Lightly cover the seeds with soil and try to keep the seeds relatively warm, around 20°C. After 1 to 2 weeks seedling should emerge. To prevent leggy plants it’s best to lower the temperature after seeds have germinated. Provide enough light. Often a windowsill is still too dark to give these seedlings enough light. After the danger of frost has passed you can plant out your cosmos plants in the garden. Plants grow big, keep this in mind when you pick the final spot for your cosmos double click pink.
