Dianthus caryophyllus Raspberry Ripple
Dianthus caryphyllis is a very well-known cut flower, with a long vase life and strong stems. The flowers can smell like cloves, and are borne in sprays. Early sowings will flower all summer long. Dianthus, also known as carnations are hardy perennials but more often grown as hardy annual. Finding seeds from cut flower carnations can be challenging because most are grown from cuttings. due to the heavy flowers, plants will need some staking or netting.
